The Henry family have been synomous with the local property market for over 45 years. Having successfully created and developed Daniel Henry Estate Agents during the 1970's and early 1980's culminating in the largest independent Estate Agency outside the Grater Belfast Area. This Estate Agency covered the North West of the province and had 6 profitable offices and was bought out by the Nationwide Anglia Building Society in 1988. At this time Nationwide also bought Ulster Property Sales and Columb was retained to run the entire Northern Ireland Operation. Columb remained for 12 months before purchasing Bensons. During this 12 month period the operation within Northern Ireland remained one of the more profitable regions within the United Kingdom framework.
Columb purchased Bensons in 1992. Bensons was primarily a locally based agricultural estate agency.
